El trabajo de Ad Minoliti, usa la geometría y el color para construir una ficción especulativa no binaria que traduce en diferentes cuerpos de trabajo. La geometría es para Minoliti, la mejor herramienta para representar e investigar la posibilidad de una heterotopía no humana, un universo alternativo, en el que las teorías de género pueden ser aplicadas al lenguaje pictórico para ayudarnos a entender y experimentar el mundo visual que nos rodea. Tomando esto como punto de partida, la práctica de Minoliti integra y cuestiona diferentes ideas alrededor de la modernidad, el fetiche, la educación, la arquitectura, el diseño y la decoración, el feminismo cuir, la ciencia ficción, y el capacitismo, entre otros temas.

Minoliti recibió un BFA de la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes P. Pueyrredón en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Es agente del centro de investigaciones artísticas de Argentina desde 2009, año en que fundó PintorAs, un colectivo feminista de pintoras argentinas. Entre sus exhibiciones recientes se encuentran: Biosfera Peluche, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Newcastle, UK; Play Theatre, CCCOD Centre de Création contemporaine Olivier Debré, Tours, FR; Nave Vermelhe, Kunsthalle Lisboa, Portugal (2020); Fantasías Modulares, Mass Moca, USA (2020); Feminist School of Painting Gwanju Biennale, Corea del Sur (2019); Museo Peluche, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Argentina (2019); La 58th Bienal de Venecia, Italia (2019); y The Feminist School of Painting, Kadist, San Francisco (2018), entre otras.

The work of Ad Minoliti uses geometry and color to build a non-binary speculative fiction that becomes the foundation for different bodies of work. Geometry is for Minoliti the best tool to represent and investigate into the possibility of a non-human heterotopia, an alternative universe, where gender theories can be applied onto the pictorial language, in order to help us understand and experiment the visual world around us. Taking this as a starting point, their practice addresses different ideas around modernism, fetish, education, architecture & design, queer feminism, sci-fi and disability studies, among other subjects.

Minoliti earned a BFA from the National Academy of Fine Arts P. Pueyrredón in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They are an agent at the Artistic Investigation Center of Argentina since 2009, year in which they also co-founded the group PintorAs, a feminist collective of Argentinian painters.
